BAD CHOICES LEAD TO TOXIC THINKING!

According to Deuteronomy 30:19, God has given us the power to choose life or death. How does this play out in our brains and bodies?

We must realize that God created us in His Image (Genesis 1:26). We were created to operate in perfection (Matthew 5:48, Ecclesiastes 7:29) or as some scientists have said, we are ‘wired for love’. Good choices enables to us to operate in the perfection God created us. That is actually our natural state. This is the ‘life zone’.

If we make bad choices we move into the ‘death zone’. This is actually unnatural. God did not create us to operate this way. The proteins that we build in our brains as result of bad choices, which leads to toxic thinking, are actually not normal. The body treats these proteins as foreign invaders leading to inflammation and eventually disease.

How do we make good choices? It starts by implanting God’s Word in our minds or souls. According James 1:21 ‘The Implanted Word’ saves our souls. As we sow the seed of God’s Word (1 Peter 1:23) our minds are renewed (Romans 12:1,2) resulting in good proteins being built in our brains leading to good mental and physical health. We are then able to make good choices, think healthy thoughts and move into the ‘life zone’.

May 19, 2014. You are well covered. The enemy of your soul is frustrated and blocked from ever gaining victory over you. His desire is to bring you down from your high perch in the presence of God the Father. His presence is your pearl of great price. It is worth finding and protecting with every resource at your disposal. The Lord looks day and night for you so that He may love, cherish and protect you. You have nothing to worry about from the devil so long as you cling to the Lord, your Heavenly Father. Snuggle close.

... If someone’s brain doesn’t know the way back to joy from sadness or fear, then they cannot make a loving open rebuke—a faithful correction. They could still make a correction from their anger, but that will be for self or from being out of control. It wouldn’t be for the sake of the other. If someone’s brain knows the way back to joy from sadness or fear, then they can risk losing the relationship for a time or even risk losing it permanently. They can risk giving a loving correction and risk being seen and talked about as being a mean person because they love the other person even more than they love the comfort that comes from the relationship, like Jesus.

... It takes time to build new connections in the brain and it takes time for the heart to heal from old hurts when ongoing behaviors create more wounds. But it is possible and vitally important to learn brain skills that were missing in the family dynamic. Learning the skills makes it possible to stop the hurtful patterns from repeating in successive generations.

The Testimony of Jesus Christ, "Do You Want to Walk in the Supernatural?"

Today I would like to talk about some of the more unusual encounters that I have had with God. Having visions, seeing angels, and being transported in the spirit all took off in my life when I came to be around an amazing friend named Bobby Conner.
I met Bobby at a conference way back before I was ever in ministry. When I met him, he walked right up to me after a meeting and asked me if I would like to travel with him to some different places that he was speaking at. I said, "Yes, Sir," and impartation began immediately.
When I travel with him, he often just tells me stories of his experiences during decades of prophetic ministry. While traveling to Holland with him for a ministry trip, it seemed like he told me about every supernatural encounter with God – every time he has been translated or transported someplace, every time an angel visited him, and even every time the devil had visited him. It was awesome!

Right before we got on the plane to head home from that trip, Bobby decided to tell me the reason behind telling all those stories. "Jerame," he said, "do you want to know what I've been doing all week?" (Photo: Bobby Conner)
"What?" I asked.
"I've been imparting to you. 'The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy'" (Revelation 19:10).
Then he continued the lesson. "Hey, Jerame, I want you to understand something. Do you want to walk in the supernatural?"
I said, "Yeah."
"Talk about God," he said. "In the Book of Colossians, it says if you'll talk about God, if you'll keep your mind fixed on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, then you'll become heavenly minded (see Colossians 3:1-2). Then gates, doors, and portals of Heaven will open, and you'll walk though 'em."
Bobby was handing me the key to soaring in the supernatural, to opening portals of revelation that I could fly right into. And the key is this: Talk about the testimony of Jesus, and you will experience more.
A Challenge For You And Me
I went home with that gift lesson, and the next weekend I flew to New Jersey where I was going to minister with a great friend of mine named Craig. I told Craig about what Bobby shared with me. I said, "Craig, dude, I learned some stuff last week with Bobby. I learned that if we'll talk about God, and if we'll be about the things of the Kingdom, heavenly minded, we can step into the doors of the spirit, and we can experience the supernatural."
So, I challenged us to talk only about God-stories; "I challenge you to talk about God the entire way home," I said to Craig. "Dude, I challenge you, let's talk about every miracle you've ever seen, every visitation; let's talk about Smith Wigglesworth's, Todd Bentley's; let's talk about anybody that we know who's walked in it and just see what happens." We were flying from New Jersey back to Abbotsford, Canada, on the West Coast, so we had plenty of travel time together.
From New Jersey to Toronto, we just started talking about God. Then we switched planes in Toronto and flew to Vancouver – the closest city to Abbotsford. The whole flight, we're talking God-stories. All of a sudden, right in front of our eyes, we started seeing bright flashes of light. As I began to look at these flashes of light, I realized that Heaven was invading the plane, and these flashes of light were angelic beings sent from God. Then, as we were looking at the angelic beings moving all around the plane, we started noticing gold dust falling on us.
It was awesome. And so we kept talking about the amazing life in the spirit and supernatural encounters with God's presence and power and Kingdom invading earth.

What God Can Show You Can Change The World
Once we arrived in Vancouver, my brother, Josh, picked us up from the airport. As soon as I got into the car, I said, "Dude, you're not going to believe it. We just started talking about God, being obedient to what we heard as the word of the Lord to us from Bobby Conner and a challenge to talk only about God stories. And you know what? These angels started manifesting and gold dust started falling in the plane. It was crazy."
We merge onto the highway in Vancouver while we're telling my brother about our recent events, and I glance back at Craig in the back seat just in time to hear him let out a yell of surprise.
"What?" I ask.
And he says, "Dude, we're in Mississippi. What's going on?" (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
So, I look out the car window and much to my shock, I see what he is seeing. We're no longer in Vancouver. We're in some other place. Even my brother who is driving realizes that the road is no longer familiar. It appears that we were instantly and briefly transported 2,700 miles off of one highway to another. Craig, still looking out the window, says that he sees this guy mowing the lawn, and recognizes him as a friend that he grew up with in this city. I'm looking around thinking, "Man, this place is weird."
Then all of a sudden, I look back at Craig, and, boom! we're back on the highway in Vancouver. After Craig got home, within a few days he called his friend in Mississippi and said, "You were out mowing the lawn just a few days ago, weren't you?"
And his friend said, "Yes." Craig was able to describe exactly what his yard looked like.
What Is The Purpose For These Experiences?
What was the purpose for this experience?
I believe that God is raising up a generation who will live "naturally supernatural." It will be out of a place of intimacy with God and obedience to His voice that they will access the keys to the heavenly realm.
Hebrews 13:8 says that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; He never changes. If God would transport men of old in the Bible such as Elijah, Philip, and even Jesus, why would He not do the same today? I believe that God was showing us what He is capable of showing to His friends. I also believe that God is going to begin to open up Heaven and visit His people.
God wants to give you encounters because He wants you to know His heart more and to release His heart to others. God wants to visit you, too. He wants to give you angelic encounters. He wants to give you dreams and visions. If you'll be intimate and obedient with God, and talk about God, keeping the testimony of what He is doing and has done foremost in your awareness, you'll have increasing encounters with God.

Timothy, you are God's man, so run from all these errors. Instead, chase after true holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope and tender humility. There is a battle raging, so fight with faith for the winner's prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life. for this is your calling – celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses!
So now, I instruct you before the God of Resurrection Life and before Jesus, the Anointed One, who demonstrated a beautiful testimony even before Pontius Pilate, that you follow this commission faithfully with a clear conscience and without blemish until the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah.

28 Years In The Prayer Room

The year was 1983. I was 23 years old and attending Mike Bickle’s church called South Kansas City Fellowship. There were a core of us that attended the daily Prayer meetings back then. We met 3 times a day. At 6am, noon and 7pm – 10 every night. I also worked as a teller at a Bank in Overland Park, Kansas. So everyday what I would go to the 6am, head to work, run back over to the noon prayer meeting during my lunch break, then go back to work…then head home, quick change of clothes and head up to the 7-10pm prayer meeting. This was my life and I loved it. At the time I could not even think of doing anything else.
I remember being there the day Bob Jones came up and said, ‘24/7 House Of Prayer’. The singing will never stop round the clock. God is releasing the song birds’ At that time I could not imagine doing anything else. A small group of us would talk about this over coffee frequently. ‘What would this look like? How could this be? 24/7 worship? Will I get to do this full-time? Will this be my job?”
I think it is an awesome thing to watch the spoken prophetic Word of God become a reality. That is exactly what I have watched these past 11 years. I literally saw the Prophetic Word become a reality of which I am actively involved in. I have watched my children grow up in the House Of Prayer. I have watched their hearts awakened to His Love at young ages. I have watched them become excellent in the Word of God and also excellent in their skill as prophetic musicians.
Now I am watching for the 2nd half of the prophetic word to become a reality. For I remember the day Bob Jones stood up and said ‘Out of this 24/7 House of Prayer will come the day when ‘No disease known to man will stand’. We are so close to this. I can feel it. I can see it in the distance but it is getting closer and closer. I tell myself, ‘I am so blessed that I get to do what I do. I get to praise my Bridegroom. I get to sing to my Father and experience the touch of the Holy Spirit. This is my calling. This is my heart and this is my Glory to awaken the dawn with my song. To sing, to praise, to prophesy that which is on the Lord’s heart.
I have literally seen the first part of this Word come to pass and the ‘No disease known to man will stand’ is coming quickly’. Oh the Glory of the day when wheel chairs are lined at the front of the stage because the lame are now leaping. It is coming……It is coming!
God is stirring the hearts of His Levites all over the world, from nation to nation. He loves it when the fragrance of intercession and praise arises.
I had a dream about this very thing that I am reminded of as God is setting His watchmen on the wall to cry out day and night, to never keep silent and give Him no rest….
I Am Undone
(Dream from my ‘Invitation To Encounter’ Book)
We move Heaven when God stirs our heart to pray day and night (Isaiah 62). When we entwine ourselves with His purposes and are faithful to the invitation to intercede, He acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. This dream is a picture about how faithfulness, especially in intercession, moves God’s heart (Psalm 132:3–5).
I had a dream. An angel took me into the room of a man who was deep in sleep. We stood together at the foot of his bed so the angel could show me how this faithful person spent even his unconscious hours. I could hear the man praying while he was asleep. Every time he would roll over in his bed, he would say, “Abba, here I am. Here I am, Abba. I love You, Abba.”
I looked up through the ceiling and saw a vast angelic army. Together the angels seemed like an ocean of brilliant, radiant light. It appeared that they were pulsing and trembling, just waiting to break in. They were waiting to be released by the call of the angel who had led me into the room. He was in great anguish because he earnestly desired to give the call they were all expecting, but he only said one sentence: “It is not quite time yet.”
I kept looking at the heavenly hosts. I could see ladders. I could see lamps. I could feel the anticipation and how strongly they wanted to break in. The angelic multitude was getting ready to burst in, not with a simple entrance, but with a flood of divine activity. Only this single angel held back the imminent breakthrough.
But it was not quite time for him to release them. There was something yet to be completed before the breakthrough could happen, though I was not shown what it was.
I noticed the Lord standing at the head of the man’s bed. I was able to feel His gaze of tender kindness and hear His gentle whisper over the man. He said, “So many people said they would do it, and they never did, but you really did it. You really did it.” The Lord’s affirming voice, affection and kindness to the man were due to the man’s faithfulness in continual night and day prayer, even in the mundane things of life. This man did not seek fame and fortune; he stayed steady, lovesick for God and unoffended day by day.
A tear came from the corner of the Lord’s eye; He was deeply moved by this man’s faithfulness. The tear fell in slow motion and broke into a hundred tiny splashes on the man’s pillow. It was beautiful to watch. This display of passion was a side of the Lord I had not seen before.
From my vantage point, I noticed that the man’s room was as bright as day even in the darkness, because the hosts of Heaven were so close to breaking through. The Lord looked at me and said, “We have heard many pray, ‘Take us up.’ Instead, tell the faithful ones, ‘Heaven is coming down. Heaven is breaking in.’”
The Lord added, “And tell them, I am undone.”
